THE DARK SIDE OF...

𝘈𝘲𝘶𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘶𝘴 - 𝘍𝘪𝘹𝘦𝘥 𝘈𝘪𝘳⁣

Aquarius itself is not as revolutionary as you might think (that bit comes from Uranus, its ruling planet). Because revolution implies being able to move. The word revolution comes from rotating or turning, which you cannot do when you are fixed. ⁣

Like all Fixed Signs, it likes to hold onto things, in this case ideas, opinions or ideologies: ⁣

Fixed energy holds, preserves and is focused inwards.⁣

Air is about concepts, communication and ideologies.⁣

An Aquarius-heavy person can feel the need to maintain their opinion no matter what. Putting ideologies over the heart-to-heart connection with another human being. There is a coldness and ruthlessness when Fixed Air goes too far. Opinion trumps empathy and they won't move an inch from what they think is right. This is when the themes of equality and freedom of speech get twisted into a: my truth is better than yours.

We can see that play out on a greater scale with cancel culture and the abuse of seemingly great ideologies in our society. Like promoting freedom of speech but only if you are on the right side. It can go as far as holding onto their idea until the bitter bloody end. The end justifies the means. They might have a humanitarian approach, but that does not equal compassion. After all, we are talking about Air here, not Water.⁣

If you've ever gotten into a discussion with an unevolved Aquarius, they will stick to their opinion and secretly feel they are intellectually superior to you. A bit like a scholar who has studied all the books in the world and now feels they are the only ones who are allowed to talk about a certain topic. With this stubbornness, they might actually block moving forward from old traditions and concepts, because their focus is on what the ancient master so and so said. On a personal level, they can find it hard to move on from an old story they keep telling themselves and others. Which will be brought up again and again.⁣

I have seen (luckily very few) Aquarians who have a weirdly skewed perception of reality because they mold the world around them so it fits their narrative. Rigidly ignoring that they have been abusive and insisting on telling everyone how great they are (because they truly believe it). These are the people who would get accused by many around them but 100% believe they are doing no harm and everyone accusing them is wrong. They will not question themselves or step into empathy for others. Not an ounce of curiosity or wondering: what if I am wrong? ⁣

Note that with Aquarius I mean: Aquarius Sun, Aquarius Moon or rising sign or any other heavy Aquarius emphasis in a chart. Also, everyone has a house in Aquarius, so check your chart to see in which area of life you might be too rigid with your opinions ⁣
